What discount is available on Split ACs at the CSD canteen?
In India, a Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 28% is applicable to both split and window Air Conditioners. However, the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) provides a special discount on GST for all products sold to Defence Personnel. Consequently, beneficiaries of the CSD are only required to pay 14% GST on each purchase of Air Conditioners.
